Int. Hospital room. Day
Girl is sleeping in hospital bed. Her chest rises rhythmically up and down with shafts of light shining on her from a window outside. The room is small and the walls are a beige and the room is small with one bed (camera zooms in on girl).
Ext. destroyed city. Night
(flash back) Suddenly the scene changes into her and we are brought into her nightmare. The air is filled with smoke, the girl is lying under charged debris of a building, she can only hear ringing in her ears, explosions happening all around. Girl slowly gets up wood debris falls off as she does. She looks around to see a bloody battlefield, buildings are all broken down bullets are flying the ringing in her head disappears and she hears crying screaming and soldiers shouting, bullets are flying every which way and explosion erupt. Girl watches as people get shot and die before her eyes.
SOLDIER
Come on soldiers! Fight with all your strength!
Int. Hospital room. Day
Girl bolts up in her bed, she sweating and crying, her eyes are wide, panicked, and filled with tears. She is connected to a blood supply, she has bandages wrapped around her forehead and she is wearing hospitable clothes. A boy stands by the entrance to her hospital room his face is shaded and he’s wearing a black hoody and jeans. Camera films boys face.
BOY
You know…
(he pauses and camera angle changes to show both boy and girl)
There’s a reason you survived.
Camera shows girls face. Girls looks up at the boy wide eyed with tears then she turns her face down and half her face is shaded. Boy begins to leave the room turning to open the door. Girls suddenly frowns with a snarl on her face.
GIRL
You think there’s a reason I survived? When so many have died! Id their really a reason I survived!
BOY
(Turns to face the girl suddenly his face is visible as he turns into a shaft of sunlight that’s filtering in through the window)
